TL;DR

Key takeaways

  1. 01Zoho CRM costs $14–$52 per user a month billed annually and is free for 3 users; HubSpot Sales Hub runs from free (2 users) and $7 a seat to $150 a seat for Enterprise (October 2026 list prices).
  2. 02HubSpot adds required one-time onboarding fees: $1,500 for Sales Hub Professional and $3,500 for Enterprise, and $3,000 or $7,000 for Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
  3. 03For 10 sales seats over 3 years at list price, Zoho CRM Enterprise comes to $14,400, HubSpot Sales Hub Professional to $33,900 with onboarding, and Salesforce Pro Suite to $36,000.
  4. 04Zoho One bundles the wider Zoho suite at US$90 per user a month on flexible user pricing, billed annually.
  5. 05Choose Zoho for cost and breadth, HubSpot for ease of adoption and inbound marketing, and Salesforce for complex, large sales organizations.

Zoho CRM is usually far cheaper per seat: $14–$52 per user a month billed annually, against $90 a seat for HubSpot Sales Hub Professional. HubSpot is easier to adopt and stronger for inbound marketing, but adds required onboarding fees on Professional and Enterprise tiers. Salesforce suits complex, larger sales teams. All prices are vendor list prices from October 2026.

Most Zoho vs HubSpot comparisons are written by a reseller of one of them, or quote prices from 2024. This one reads each vendor's current pricing page, counts the onboarding fees that many comparisons skip, and works out a three-year cost for a typical team. We set up and integrate Zoho CRM, HubSpot and Salesforce, so we have no reason to push you toward any of them. Prices change often: confirm them on the linked pages before you buy. None of the figures below are Elgrith fees.

Zoho also sells CRM Plus, a bundle of CRM with marketing, support and analytics apps, which "Starts at $20/user/month" on its pricing page.

HubSpot's page also shows higher per-seat figures ($20 for Starter and $100 for Professional) next to the "starts at" prices. They appear to be the monthly-billing rates, with the lower figures for annual commitment, but the page doesn't label them clearly. Confirm the billing term at checkout.

Salesforce, for reference

Salesforce Sales Cloud lists Starter Suite at $25, Pro Suite at $100, Enterprise (shown as "Core") at $195, Advanced at $395 and Max at $550 per user a month; the higher editions are billed annually. Agentforce for Sales starts "From $125 USD/user/month".

What are HubSpot's onboarding fees and other hidden costs?

HubSpot's pricing page is explicit: "Cost shown does not include the required, one-time Professional Onboarding for a fee of $1,500." Enterprise onboarding is $3,500. On Marketing Hub, Professional "Starts at $800/mo" with 3 core seats and a $3,000 onboarding fee; Enterprise "Starts at $3,600/mo" with a $7,000 onboarding fee.

These fees are one-time, but they matter in year one. A team buying Sales Hub Professional and Marketing Hub Professional together pays $4,500 in onboarding before any seat fees.

Other costs to budget for, on either platform:

  • Implementation. Pipelines, fields, automation, permissions and reports have to be designed and built.
  • Data migration. Contacts, companies, deals, notes and history from your old system or spreadsheets.
  • Integrations. Website forms, email, telephony, WhatsApp, accounting and payments.
  • Add-ons. Extra contacts, seats, AI credits or sandboxes, depending on the vendor and tier.
  • Training and admin time. Someone has to own the CRM after launch.

Zoho doesn't list a required onboarding fee, but a Zoho rollout still needs configuration. Many teams underestimate it because the licence is cheap.

3-year cost example: a 10-seat sales team

Here is what 10 sales seats cost over three years at each vendor's published starting price, billed annually where the page offers it. Onboarding is included where HubSpot requires it.

OptionPer seat a monthSeats × 36 monthsRequired onboarding3-year total
HubSpot Sales Hub Starter$7$2,520None$2,520
Zoho CRM Standard$14$5,040None$5,040

Salesforce Pro Suite$100$36,000Not listed$36,000
HubSpot Sales Hub Enterprise$150$54,000$3,500$57,500
Salesforce Enterprise ("Core")$195$70,200Not listed$70,200

Our arithmetic from the list prices above, October 2026. Taxes, add-ons, discounts and implementation are excluded.

The table shows the pattern most teams see in practice. At entry level, HubSpot Starter is the cheapest paid option. Once you need the automation, custom reporting and sequences that sit in the mid tiers, Zoho Professional or Enterprise costs a fraction of HubSpot Professional. Zoho One, which covers far more than CRM, costs about the same as HubSpot Sales Hub Professional alone.

Treat these as list-price benchmarks. Vendors discount for annual commitments and larger teams, and "starts at" prices can have minimum seat counts.

Is Zoho One better value than HubSpot's bundles?

Zoho One is a different kind of product. For US$90 per user a month on flexible user pricing, billed annually, you get Zoho's CRM alongside its finance, support, HR, project, analytics and app-building tools under one licence. Zoho also offers all-employee pricing, which requires a licence for every employee in the company. Check Zoho One's pricing page for current terms.

HubSpot sells its hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, Operations, Commerce) separately or bundled. The strength is depth in marketing and a single, polished data model. The cost is that each hub and tier adds seats and fees: Sales Hub Professional for 10 users plus Marketing Hub Professional already means $900 a month in sales seats, at least $800 a month for marketing, and $4,500 in onboarding.

Zoho One is better value if you'd otherwise buy separate tools for accounting, support, HR or projects, and are willing to configure them. HubSpot is better value if marketing automation is the centre of your growth and you want a platform your team can adopt quickly with little configuration.

How do Zoho and HubSpot compare on features?

Pipeline and sales automation. Both handle multiple pipelines, deal stages, tasks and email sequences. Zoho's Blueprint enforces a step-by-step sales process, and its workflows and custom functions (written in Zoho's Deluge language) allow deep customization. HubSpot's workflows are easier to build and read, especially for marketers.

Marketing. HubSpot is the stronger inbound marketing platform: forms, landing pages, email, attribution and content tools in one place. Zoho covers marketing through separate apps such as Zoho Campaigns and Marketing Automation, usually bought through CRM Plus or Zoho One.

AI. Zoho's assistant is Zia; HubSpot's is Breeze. Both add predictions, summaries, writing help and agents to the CRM. Check which AI features are included in your tier and which need extra credits.

Reporting. HubSpot's dashboards are quick to set up and readable for non-analysts. Zoho offers deeper analysis through Zoho Analytics, which suits teams that want custom reporting across several apps.

Ease of use. HubSpot is generally easier to adopt; Zoho rewards teams that invest in a proper setup. A Zoho rollout that skips process mapping, configuration and training will feel harder to use than it needs to.

Zoho vs Salesforce: which suits a growing business?

For small and mid-size teams, Zoho CRM costs far less: its top Ultimate edition ($52 per user a month billed annually) is about half of Salesforce's Pro Suite ($100). Zoho also covers more of the business in one licence through Zoho One.

Salesforce makes sense when your sales process is complex, you have many teams, territories and approval rules, or you need its ecosystem of apps and specialist administrators. At Enterprise ("Core", $195) and above, it is built for large organizations with dedicated CRM staff.

How hard is it to migrate between Zoho and HubSpot?

Moving in either direction is a normal project, not a rebuild of your business. A safe migration covers:

  1. A field map. Every object (contacts, companies, deals, tickets), field and picklist value in the old system, matched to the new one.
  2. Clean-up before the move. Remove duplicates and dead records; don't migrate the mess.
  3. History and attachments. Notes, emails, calls and files, with owners and dates preserved.
  4. Automation rebuilt, not copied. Workflows, sequences and Blueprints are platform-specific and need redesigning.
  5. Integrations reconnected. Forms, email, telephony, accounting and payments.
  6. A test migration and record counts before the final cutover, then training on the new system.

Our Zoho consulting and HubSpot consulting teams run migrations in both directions, and our AI automation team connects either CRM to the rest of your tools.

Which should you choose: Zoho or HubSpot?

Use this checklist:

  • Budget is tight and you need mid-tier features (automation, custom fields, reports): Zoho CRM.
  • Marketing drives your pipeline and you want forms, email and attribution in one place: HubSpot.
  • You want one licence for CRM, finance, support and HR: Zoho One.
  • Your team resists new software and needs the easiest adoption: HubSpot.
  • You need deep customization at a low licence cost and can invest in setup: Zoho.
  • Your sales process is complex, multi-team and enterprise-scale: Salesforce.
  • No product fits your process without heavy workarounds: consider a custom CRM.

Common mistakes when choosing a CRM

  • Comparing entry prices only. The tier you'll need in year two, after you add automation and reporting, is the one to price.
  • Ignoring onboarding and implementation. HubSpot's required onboarding fees are listed; implementation on any platform is not, and it is often the larger cost.
  • Buying for features nobody will use. Write down the five things your team will do in the CRM every day, and test those in a trial.
  • Migrating dirty data. Duplicates and dead records carried over on day one make the new CRM feel broken.
  • Skipping training. A CRM that salespeople don't update has no value, whatever it costs. Plan training and a named admin before launch.
  • Choosing alone. Involve sales, marketing and finance in the trial; each will use the CRM differently.
