FIG 01 · Hire Dedicated Developers

Hire dedicated developers who work as part of your team

Full-time React, Node.js, Python, Flutter and AI engineers on your roadmap, in your Slack and your repositories. You interview them first, and you own everything they build.

FIG 02 · Quick answer

What does it mean to hire dedicated developers?

Hiring dedicated developers means engaging full-time engineers who work only on your product, under your priorities, while the provider handles hiring, payroll, equipment and retention. Elgrith provides dedicated React, Node.js, Python, Flutter and AI developers from its New Delhi engineering center, with a client partner in New York or London, overlap hours and full IP ownership.

FIG 04 · Definition

What is the dedicated team model?

In the dedicated team model, a provider supplies full-time engineers who work only on your product, take direction from you and stay with you month after month. The provider handles recruiting, payroll, equipment and retention. Here is how it compares with the other ways to get software built, including when not to choose it.

If your scope is small and fixed, hiring a dedicated team is the wrong tool. We’ll say so and quote it as a project instead.

FIG 08 · Step by step

How to hire dedicated developers safely

Whoever you hire from, these eight steps protect your product, your code and your budget. They are the same checks we expect clients to run on us.

08principles

  • Define the roles and outcomes

Write down the roles, seniority and stack you need, and what the team should deliver in its first three months. Outcomes beat headcount.

  • Check the provider’s shipped work

Ask for live products, not slide decks, and talk to the people who built them. Ours is Kenerate AI.

  • Interview the actual developers

Meet the people who will write your code, not a sales team. Use a short technical task or a live pairing session on a real problem.

  • Start with a paid trial

Begin with a trial sprint on real work with clear goals. It shows how the team communicates and ships before you commit long term.

  • Put IP, NDA and data protection in writing

The contract should assign all IP to you, include an NDA, and add a data processing agreement (DPA) under GDPR or UK GDPR if the team will handle personal data.

  • Set security basics

Code lives in your repositories, access is through accounts you control and can revoke, devices are managed, and production secrets stay out of chat and email.

  • Agree overlap hours and a cadence

Fix the shared hours, the stand-up and demo rhythm, and who your day-to-day contact is, before the first sprint starts.

  • Agree replacement and exit terms

Know what happens if a developer isn’t the right fit, how notice works and how code and knowledge are handed back. Make sure these terms are set out in your contract.

FIG 09 · Onboarding

The first 30 days

What a good start looks like, so you can judge the team early and adjust before small issues become habits.

06principles

  • Access and onboarding

Developers join your Slack, Jira and GitHub with accounts you control, and get a walkthrough of your product and codebase.

  • First-sprint goals

A small set of real tickets with clear acceptance criteria, so the team ships something useful early and you see how they work.

  • Rituals in place

Stand-ups inside the shared hours, sprint planning, code review and a demo at the end of every sprint.

  • Documentation as they go

Setup notes, decisions and anything they learn about your system, written down where your team can find it.

  • Reporting starts

Your client partner shares what shipped, what’s blocked and what’s next, in writing.

  • A 30-day review

A call to review the work, the fit and the team size, and to change anything that isn’t working.

FIG 10 · Process · 6 steps

Shortlist, interview, then onboard

You choose every developer. Start dates, notice and replacement terms are agreed up front and set out in your contract.

  1. Step 01

    Free call

We talk through your product, roadmap, stack and the roles you need, and agree the shared hours that work for you.

  2. Step 02

You get profiles of developers matched to your roles, with their experience and the work they have done.

  3. Step 03

    Interviews

You interview the developers yourself, with a technical task or live pairing session if you want one.

  4. Step 04

    Trial

The team starts on real work with clear goals, on the trial terms set out in your contract.

  5. Step 05

    Onboarding

Access to your tools and repositories, a codebase walkthrough and first-sprint goals, with your client partner coordinating.

  6. Step 06

    Monthly reporting and review

A written report every month and a review call to adjust priorities and team size.

Three ways to work together

  1. 01

    Fixed-scope project

A written scope, one fixed price and a dated plan. Suits websites, apps and MVPs.

  2. 02

    Dedicated team

Designers and engineers on your roadmap every month, billed monthly.

  3. 03

    White label

For US and UK agencies: our work, your brand, unbranded deliverables.
