FIG 01 · Software Testing & QA
Software testing services that keep your test code yours
Manual, automated, API, performance and mobile app testing that ships with your release, not after it. Every test, device matrix and report lives in your repository, so your team keeps the suite when the engagement ends.

FIG 02 · Quick answer
What are software testing services?
Software testing services check that an app works, stays secure and stays usable before each release. Elgrith runs manual, automated, API, performance and mobile app testing with Playwright, Cypress and Appium, adds WCAG 2.2 and OWASP checks, and commits every test to your repository so your team keeps the suite when the engagement ends.

FIG 03 · Why it matters
Bugs are expensive. Untested releases are more expensive.
From CISQ, the World Quality Report and Google Play’s own rules. Store rules change; we re-check them before we write your test plan.

$2.41T
Cost of poor software quality in the US
CISQ put the cost of poor software quality in the US at “at least $2.41 trillion” in 2022, with accumulated technical debt of about $1.52 trillion.

Have scaled Gen AI in QA across the enterprise
89% of organizations surveyed are piloting or deploying Gen AI in quality engineering, but only 15% have reached enterprise-wide use. AI helps; it doesn’t replace a test strategy.

Testers × days before a new Play listing
New personal Google Play developer accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for at least 14 days in a row before production access. We plan that into your release.

FIG 04 · Tools
Test automation stack (checked 23 Oct 2026)
We pick the framework your team can keep running after we leave. Versions are the latest stable releases on the npm registry, checked 23 Oct 2026; they move every few weeks.
| Tool | Latest stable (23 Oct 2026) | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playwright | 1.64.1 (14 Oct 2026) | Cross-browser web and API tests, parallel runs in CI, trace viewer for flaky tests | Teams with a large existing Selenium suite need a migration plan |
| Cypress | 16.2.0 (October 2026) | Front-end teams who want fast, visual component and end-to-end tests | Multi-tab and multi-origin flows need extra set-up |
| Selenium | 4.51.0 (9 Oct 2026) | Large suites in Java, C# or Python, and grids you already run | Slower feedback and more waits to manage than newer tools |
| Appium | 3.8.0 (24 Sep 2026); 4.0 in beta | Native and hybrid iOS and Android apps on real devices and emulators | Device farms and signing add set-up time; we document it in your repo |
| k6 / JMeter | Chosen per project | Load, stress and soak tests against APIs and key journeys | Load tests on production need a written plan and your approval |

FIG 06 · In your sprints
QA testing services inside your sprints
Shift-left means testing starts when the story is written, not when the build is “done”. The test pyramid keeps most checks fast and cheap, with fewer slow end-to-end tests on top.
- Pull request
- Nightly build
- Release candidate
- CI gate
- Defect tracker
- Release report
Every pull request
- Runs
- Unit, API and component tests, plus lint and SAST
- Goal
- Fast feedback before code is merged
Nightly regression
- Runs
- Full end-to-end suite across browsers and devices
- Goal
- Breakages found the next morning, not at release
Release candidate
- Runs
- Smoke, exploratory and UAT support, plus load tests where agreed
- Goal
- A go or no-go backed by a written test report
Flaky-test triage
- Runs
- Weekly review of tests that pass and fail without a code change
- Goal
- A suite your developers trust, so they don’t ignore red builds
Accessibility pass
- Runs
- axe scans, keyboard and screen-reader checks on changed screens
- Goal
- WCAG 2.2 AA issues caught before they ship
Legacy app under change
- Runs
- Characterization tests that pin today’s behavior first
- Goal
- A safety net before an old system is modernized
FIG 07 · Mobile
Mobile app testing
Phones fragment fast and the stores add their own gates. These rules come from Apple and Google’s own pages, checked 23 Oct 2026.
05principles
A device matrix from your data
We pick OS versions, screen sizes and low-end devices from your analytics, then test on real devices and emulators.
Google Play closed testing
Personal developer accounts created after 13 Nov 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for at least 14 days in a row before applying for production.
TestFlight limits
TestFlight allows up to 10,000 external testers and up to 100 internal App Store Connect users. A build can be tested for up to 90 days, so we plan fresh builds into long betas.
VoiceOver and TalkBack
Every key journey checked with the built-in screen readers on iOS and Android, alongside WCAG 2.2 AA checks.
Testing an app you already run
Regression testing for OS updates and new releases sits well alongside a maintenance plan.
Mobile app maintenance
FIG 08 · Ownership
QA outsourcing that keeps your tests yours
Outsourced QA fails when the tests live in the vendor’s tools. Ours live in your repository, your CI and your tracker from the first day.
05principles
Tests in your repository
Every test, fixture and page object is committed to your Git repository, reviewed like any other code.
Your accounts, your tools
Device farms, CI runners and test-management tools sit in your accounts, so nothing disappears when we do.
Documented hand-over
A written guide to running, extending and debugging the suite, plus a walkthrough with your developers.
Exit terms in writing
Notice periods and hand-over steps are agreed in your written scope before we start, not argued about at the end.

FIG 09 · Measurement
Reporting: defects, coverage and DORA
DORA’s guide now lists five software delivery metrics: change lead time, deployment frequency, failed deployment recovery time, change fail rate and deployment rework rate (guide updated 5 Jan 2026). QA moves the last two most, so we report against them.
| How we measure it | What we won’t do | |
|---|---|---|
| Change fail rate | Share of deployments that needed a fix or rollback, from your pipeline data | Claim a rate we can’t see in your tools |
| Deployment rework rate | Unplanned deployments made to fix problems users hit | Count planned releases as rework |
| Escaped defects | Bugs found in production, by severity and by area | Hide production bugs to make a report look clean |
| Coverage | Requirements and journeys covered by tests, not just line coverage | Treat a coverage percentage as proof of quality |
| Suite health | Run time and flaky-test count per week | Mark flaky tests as passed by retrying them |
We agree the measures and reporting rhythm in your written scope.
FIG 10 · Process · 6 steps
Test plan first, then the test code
Discovery, test strategy, automation, reporting: a fixed written quote after a free call, with every test committed to your repository.
- Step 01
Free call
Tell us what you need to test, fix or rebuild and what you have already tried. We ask about your users, systems, team and deadlines first.
- Step 02
Discovery
We review your app, release process, current tests, CI and defect history, then write a test strategy: what to automate, what stays manual and which devices and browsers matter.
- Step 03
Fixed written quote
A written scope and a fixed quote, with the timeline, platforms, access and hand-over agreed before any work starts. You own the code and IP.
- Step 04
Sprints with weekly demos
Test cases, automation and CI gates built sprint by sprint, each shown running in a weekly demo, with defects logged in your tracker.
- Step 05
Launch
A release test report with what passed, what failed and what was not tested, plus store-testing steps for mobile releases.
- Step 06
Support
Ongoing regression testing, suite upkeep or a hand-over to your team, as agreed in your written scope.
