FIG 02 · Quick answer
What does a Webflow agency do?
A Webflow agency designs and builds websites on Webflow, a visual CMS that marketers can edit without developers. Elgrith plans the structure, designs in Figma, builds clean Webflow CMS collections and interactions, connects your CRM and analytics, migrates content and redirects from WordPress, and hands over a site your team can update.

FIG 03 · Why it matters
Webflow is a focused choice, not the default one.
From W3Techs’ live CMS survey and Webflow’s own 2026 plans update. We build on Webflow, WordPress and Next.js, so we can tell you honestly which one fits.

1.2%
Of CMS-built sites use Webflow
W3Techs reports Webflow is used by 1.2% of websites whose CMS it can detect, which is 0.8% of all websites.

FIG 04 · Decide
Webflow vs WordPress vs Next.js: which fits?
A Webflow development agency builds sites on Webflow’s visual designer and CMS. It is the right tool for many marketing sites and the wrong one for some. Because we build on all three, here is how we decide.
| Webflow | WordPress | Next.js (custom) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Marketing sites your team edits visually | Content-heavy sites and a huge plugin ecosystem | Products, portals and sites with custom logic |
| Editing | Visual editor on the live layout | Block editor and themes | A headless CMS of your choice |
| Hosting and updates | Hosted and maintained by Webflow | You host, patch and update plugins | You or we host, on Vercel or your cloud |
| Limits to know | Very large content sites, complex e-commerce, memberships | Plugin sprawl and security upkeep | Needs developers for most changes |
If Webflow isn’t the right fit, we will say so and build on WordPress or Next.js instead.

FIG 08 · Plans
Webflow plans in 2026: what changed
Webflow announced a new plan structure in 2026. Its community update says the changes apply from 29 June 2026 for most existing sites, and from 16 November 2026 for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces and on legacy pricing. Here is what that means for your budget.
06principles
Check which date applies
Most existing sites moved on 29 June 2026. Sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces, or on legacy pricing, move on 16 November 2026.
Webflow bills you directly
Site plans and workspace seats are paid to Webflow, not to us. We don’t resell or mark up Webflow plans.
Budget for the whole stack
Total cost is the Webflow plan, any seats, your integrations and the build. We set out each line in the scope.
Your workspace, your billing
The site sits in a workspace and billing account owned by your business, so you are never locked to an agency.
Prices come from Webflow
Plans and prices change; we always point you to Webflow’s own pricing page rather than quote figures that may be out of date.
We compare it honestly
If WordPress or Next.js is cheaper to run for your needs, the comparison is in the proposal.

FIG 09 · Measurement
What we check before a Webflow site launches
Every launch is checked against the same list, and the results are part of your handover.
| Check | Why it matters | How we check it |
|---|---|---|
| Core Web Vitals | Speed affects users and search | PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX data where available |
| Redirects | Old URLs must reach their new pages | Every URL in the redirect map tested |
| Meta and schema | How pages appear in Google and AI answers | CMS-bound fields and structured-data tests |
| Accessibility basics | Usable for everyone | Headings, contrast, alt text and keyboard checks |
| Forms and integrations | Leads must reach your CRM | Test submissions end to end |
| Editor handover | Your team can publish safely | A walkthrough and written guide |

FIG 15 · Checklist
How to choose a Webflow development agency
Before you hire a Webflow agency, ask these questions.
| Ask | Why it matters | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Will you tell me if Webflow is wrong for us? | Some sites fit WordPress or a custom build better | An agency that builds on more than one stack |
| Who owns the workspace? | Lock-in starts with billing | Workspace and billing owned by your business |
| How is the CMS structured? | A messy CMS is hard to edit and slow | A collection plan you approve before the build |
| How do you handle migration SEO? | Lost redirects mean lost rankings | A full redirect map and Search Console checks |
| Can my team edit it? | The point of Webflow is editing without developers | Editor roles, a guide and a walkthrough |
FIG 16 · Compare
Webflow agency, freelancer or in-house?
| Webflow development agency | Webflow freelancer | In-house developer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Design, build and SEO | One team covers all three | Often one person’s strength | Depends on the hire |
| Migrations and integrations | Redirect maps, CRM and analytics included | Varies | Varies |
| Capacity | Scales with your project | Limited by one person’s time | Fixed headcount |
| Cover for holidays and sickness | Yes | No | Partly |
| Best for | New builds, migrations and redesigns | Small changes on a tight budget | Constant, daily site work |
