FIG 02 · Quick answer

What does Elgrith do as a Drupal agency in London?

Elgrith is a Drupal agency serving London and UK organisations through our London client-partnership centre, with engineering at our New Delhi HQ. We build Drupal 11 sites, migrate Drupal 7 and Drupal 10 sites before support ends on 9 December 2026, take over existing builds after an audit, and provide ongoing Drupal support.

Why it matters now

December 2026 is a deadline month for Drupal sites.

When a Drupal major version reaches end of life, security releases stop. Checked on drupal.org and W3Techs on 23 Oct 2026.

What you get

Drupal agency services for London organisations

New builds, migrations, takeovers and the integrations that keep an organisation’s website running, from one team that also handles speed, search, accessibility and support.

Drupal development · built in-house

01

Drupal 11 builds

New sites on Drupal 11 with a content model, editorial workflow and roles designed around how your organisation actually publishes.

02

Drupal CMS and Canvas

Drupal CMS recipes and the Canvas visual page builder, where they fit, so editors can build pages without a developer for every change.

03

Drupal 7 migrations

Drupal 7 sites rebuilt on Drupal 11 with the Migrate API: content, users, files and URLs moved, the theme rebuilt and old modules replaced.

04

Drupal 10 to 11 upgrades

Deprecated code found with Upgrade Status and Drupal Rector, contributed modules updated, and the upgrade tested on staging before 9 December 2026.

05

Takeovers and audits

A written code, module and configuration audit, then a clean hand-over from your current agency, with access and backups in your organisation’s name.

06

Headless Drupal

Drupal as the content hub behind a fast Next.js front end, over JSON:API or GraphQL, for organisations that publish to more than one channel.

07

Integrations

CRM, single sign-on, search and Microsoft 365 connected to Drupal, so content, members and staff accounts stay in step.

08

Support and maintenance

Security advisories applied within a window agreed in your written scope, core minor updates, PHP upgrades and monitoring.

Upgrade, move or go headless?

Staying on Drupal vs moving

Upgrading is not always the answer, and neither is leaving. We build on Drupal and WordPress, and headless, so we recommend what fits your content, team and budget.

Staying on Drupal vs moving
OptionBest forTrade-off
Upgrade to Drupal 11Complex content models, many editors and roles, multilingual and membership sitesA major upgrade every few years, planned against drupal.org’s schedule
Move to WordPressSimpler sites where a smaller team wants a familiar editorA content and URL migration; some Drupal features need plugins or custom code
Headless DrupalOrganisations publishing to a website, apps and other channelsTwo codebases to maintain: the Drupal back end and the front end

Our Drupal vs WordPress (2026) guide, our Drupal development page and our London WordPress agency page cover each route in full.

Drupal 7 and 10 migrations

Move off Drupal 7 or 10 before the dates catch you.

Drupal 7 core security support ended on 5 January 2025, and Drupal 10 reaches end of life on 9 December 2026. A Drupal 7 site moves to Drupal 11 as a migration, not an in-place upgrade: content, users and files come across through the Migrate API, and the theme and custom modules are rebuilt. A Drupal 10 site upgrades in place once deprecated code is fixed. If a Drupal 7 site can’t move yet, drupal.org lists Extended Security Support vendors, HeroDevs and Tag1 Consulting, as a bridge while the migration is planned.

  • Module-by-module audit with a replacement for each
  • Content, users, files and URLs migrated, with redirects
  • Theme rebuilt with Twig and Single Directory Components
  • Drupal 10 sites upgraded on staging, then released
  • A migration plan with dates, in your fixed quote

Working with a London team

London partner. UK working day.

A client partner at our London client-partnership centre runs your account on UK time. Your site is engineered at our New Delhi headquarters, which is 4.5 hours ahead of London in summer and 5.5 hours ahead in winter, so our working day overlaps your morning.

  • A London client partner

One person owns your account from the London centre: scope, priorities, reviews and sign-off. You never chase a ticket queue.

  • Calls in your working day

Kick-offs, reviews and demos are booked in your working day, by video. Written updates follow every call.

  • New Delhi engineering

Drupal development, QA and support happen at our New Delhi headquarters, the team behind 1,000+ projects since 2015.

  • In person if agreed

Sessions run remotely by default. If your project needs an in-person workshop in London, we agree it in the scope first.

Elgrith in London

Who uses Drupal in the UK?

Drupal suits organisations with a lot of content, many editors and strict access rules. These are the sectors and areas we serve; we do not claim a London address or name clients.

01

Universities and colleges

Large multi-site estates with departments, courses, research and events, many editors and single sign-on for staff.

02

Public-sector suppliers and charities

Information-heavy sites that must be accessible, built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, with donation, campaign and service pages.

03

Membership bodies and associations

Member logins, gated content, events and CRM integrations, where Drupal’s roles and permissions earn their keep.

Badges, explained

What is a Drupal Certified Partner?

Many UK Drupal agencies show partner badges. Here is what the programme is, from the Drupal Association’s own page, so you can check any agency. Elgrith does not claim Drupal Certified Partner status.

05items

  • Drupal Certified Partners are verified by the Drupal Association on Drupal.org
  • Tiers run from Bronze to Top Tier and are set by annual weighted contribution credits
  • Status is reviewed every year, so a badge can lapse
  • Check any agency’s current status on its Drupal.org organisation page, not its website
  • A badge measures contribution to Drupal, not who will write your code: ask that separately

Questions to ask any Drupal agency, including us

How to choose a Drupal agency in London

Comparing Drupal agencies in London? These questions separate an agency that will keep your site supported from one that will only build it.

07items

  • Do they know your version’s end-of-life date without looking it up?
  • Do they still recommend Drupal 9 or 10 as a target? Both are out of date for new work
  • Where does the team actually sit, and who is your day-to-day contact?
  • How do they take over a site from another agency: audit first, or straight into changes?
  • Will the repository, hosting and admin accounts be in your organisation’s name?
  • Can they show the partner badge on Drupal.org, not just on their own website?
  • Will they tell you when Drupal is no longer the right platform for you?
