FIG 02 · Quick answer

What are data visualization services?

Data visualization services turn data from your CRM, ERP, store and spreadsheets into dashboards people can act on. Elgrith connects the sources, builds a clean data model, designs Power BI or Tableau reports, or codes custom dashboards into your product, then sets refresh schedules, row-level security and licences that fit your budget.

Licensing is the budget question nobody explains.

FIG 04 · Decide

Power BI, Tableau or a custom dashboard?

Data visualization is the design and engineering of charts, dashboards and reports that help people understand data and act on it. Most teams pick one of three routes. Here is how we help you decide.

Proof: a data-heavy web product we designed and engineered

Kenerate AI is our flagship build, an AI image and video studio we designed and engineered, with hundreds of models, studios and a credit system behind one interface. It is not a BI tool; it shows the engineering behind our custom dashboards.

  • 200+ AI models behind one app, one login and one credit balance
  • 23+ studios and tools, with up to 4K output
  • Kenerate Agent chat, plus MCP & CLI inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and 19+ AI apps

FIG 08 · Licensing

Power BI licensing explained (Pro, PPU, Fabric)

Licences often cost more over time than the build, so we plan them first. Microsoft is also “retiring the Power BI Premium per-capacity SKUs” in favour of Microsoft Fabric capacity, so older advice may be out of date.

06principles

  • Power BI Pro

Per-user licence for building and sharing reports. Microsoft lists it at $14.00 user/month, paid yearly (US), or £10.80 ex VAT (UK).

  • Premium Per User (PPU)

Premium features for each user: $24.00 user/month, paid yearly (US), or £18.50 ex VAT (UK). Microsoft says it is more cost effective for fewer than 250 users.

  • Fabric capacity

Capacity for an organisation rather than per user. On F64 or larger, viewers with only a Free licence can view Power BI content.

  • Premium per capacity (P SKUs)

Microsoft is retiring these SKUs, so we plan moves to Fabric capacity for teams still on them.

  • A licence plan per team

We count builders and viewers, then compare Pro, PPU and Fabric for your numbers before anything is bought.

FIG 09 · Design

Dashboards people use, not just open

A dashboard nobody trusts or understands is an expensive screenshot. We design for adoption from the first workshop.

04principles

  • KPIs before charts

We agree the questions and the decisions first, then choose the few measures that answer them.

  • A clear hierarchy

Headline numbers first, trends next, detail on demand, so the first screen answers the first question.

  • Accessible colour

Palettes that work for colour-blind readers, with labels and patterns so colour is never the only signal.

  • Mobile layouts

Phone layouts for the people who check numbers away from a desk.

    UI/UX design

FIG 10 · Measurement

What we check before a dashboard goes live

Every dashboard is tested against the source systems before your team sees it.

FIG 11 · Process · 6 steps

KPIs first, then charts

A free call, a fixed written quote, weekly demos while we build, then training and support. You own the models, reports and code.

  1. Step 01

    Discover the KPIs

Workshops with the people who will use the dashboard: the decisions they make and the numbers they need.

  2. Step 02

    Model the data

Sources connected and a clean data model built, with measures defined once and documented.

  3. Step 03

    Prototype

A clickable prototype of the key pages, reviewed with your users before the full build.

  4. Step 04

    Build

Reports or custom dashboards built with weekly demos, row-level security and refresh schedules.

  5. Step 05

    Train

Training for viewers and builders, plus written guides, so your team can read and extend the reports.

  6. Step 06

    Support

Fixes, new reports and licence reviews as your needs grow, if agreed in scope.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Data Visualization with Elgrith.

It depends on the number and quality of your data sources, the complexity of the data model, how many reports you need and your licensing. After a free call you get a written scope and a fixed quote. Microsoft’s licence costs are separate and paid directly to Microsoft.
