FIG 01 · UX Audit
UX audit services that end in a backlog your team can ship
A heuristic review by three to five evaluators, your analytics, WCAG 2.2 and Core Web Vitals checks, delivered as ranked tickets with evidence, not a PDF that sits in a drawer.

FIG 02 · Quick answer
What is a UX audit?
A UX audit is an expert review of a website or app that finds what stops people completing tasks. Elgrith’s UX audit services combine a heuristic evaluation by three to five evaluators, analytics and funnel data, WCAG 2.2 accessibility and Core Web Vitals checks, and deliver a prioritized backlog our engineers can build.
- Independent evaluators on every heuristic review
- 3–5
- Projects delivered since 2015
- 1,000+
- Clients across the USA, UK and India
- 250+
- Your code, data and IP
- 100%
FIG 03 · Why it matters
One reviewer misses most of the problems.
From Nielsen Norman Group and web.dev, checked on 23 Oct 2026.
01
35%
Found by a single evaluator
In Nielsen’s research, “single evaluators found only 35 percent of the usability problems” in the interfaces studied. That’s why one-person audits miss so much.
Source: Nielsen Norman Group, Theory of heuristic evaluations(opens in a new tab)02
3–5
Independent evaluators
NN/g’s guidance: “three to five people should independently evaluate” an interface, then merge their findings. Our heuristic reviews follow it.

2.5 s
The Core Web Vitals “good” lines
LCP within 2.5 s, INP of 200 ms or less and CLS of 0.1 or less, measured at the 75th percentile of page loads. Slow is a UX problem, so it is in the audit.

FIG 04 · What you get
A backlog, not a PDF
Every finding becomes a ticket your team (or ours) can pick up: the issue, the evidence, the heuristic or WCAG success criterion it breaks, how severe it is, how much effort the fix takes and who owns it.
| Issue | Evidence | Heuristic / WCAG SC | Severity | Effort | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Card errors only appear after the whole form is submitted | Recording of the checkout step; drop-off at payment in GA4 | Error prevention (Nielsen heuristic 5) | High | Small | Front end |
| Shipping address asked for twice | Walkthrough by 3 evaluators | WCAG 3.3.7 Redundant Entry | High | Small | Front end |
| Filter chips too small to tap on mobile | Mobile walkthrough | WCAG 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) | Medium | Small | Design system |
| Product pages slow to respond after tapping a size | INP field data above 200 ms | Core Web Vitals: INP | Medium | Medium | Engineering |
| Pricing page jargon confuses first-time visitors | 5-user test: 3 of 5 hesitated | Match between system and the real world | Low | Small | Content |
Severity uses a 0–4 scale agreed at kick-off. The backlog is delivered in your tool (Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues or a spreadsheet), with a readout session for your team.

FIG 06 · Timing
When to run a UX audit
An audit pays back most just before you spend money on something bigger.
Before a redesign
- Why
- Keep what works, fix what doesn’t, brief the redesign on evidence
After a traffic or conversion drop
- Why
- Separate UX, speed and tracking causes from SEO or seasonality
Before CRO testing
- Why
- Fix the obvious defects first; turn the rest into test hypotheses
Before an accessibility deadline
- Why
- Find the WCAG 2.2 AA gaps on your key journeys early
Before scaling a SaaS product
- Why
- Onboarding and core flows reviewed before you spend on acquisition
When app reviews mention confusion
- Why
- Turn store reviews and support tickets into ranked fixes
FIG 07 · Deadlines
Accessibility deadlines in 2026–28
Dated facts, checked 23 Oct 2026. This is general information, not legal advice: a UX audit includes a WCAG spot check, never a compliance guarantee.
05principles
WCAG 2.2
Published as a W3C Recommendation on 5 October 2023; the current edition is dated 12 December 2024. Our spot checks use WCAG 2.2 AA, which includes 2.1 AA.
ADA Title II: 26 Apr 2027 and 26 Apr 2028
An interim final rule published on 20 Apr 2026 moved the dates: 26 April 2027 for US state and local governments serving 50,000+ people, 26 April 2028 for smaller ones. The standard is still WCAG 2.1 AA.
European Accessibility Act
Applies from 28 June 2025 to many products and services sold in the EU, including ecommerce. US and UK companies selling into the EU should check whether it covers them.
Full WCAG audits and fixes
Manual and automated WCAG 2.2 AA audits, remediation in your code and retests.

FIG 08 · After the audit
Then we can build it
The backlog is yours to give to any team. If you want ours, an optional build sprint turns the top tickets into shipped changes, by the designers and engineers who wrote them.

Optional build sprint
The highest-severity, lowest-effort tickets designed, built, tested and released, with a demo every week.
Product design we shipped
Kenerate AI, our flagship build, designed and engineered by Elgrith. It is a product we designed and built, not an audit.

FIG 09 · Measurement
Evidence, not vanity stats
We don’t promise a conversion lift from an audit. We show our method, so you can judge every finding yourself.
| How we do it | What we won’t do | |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluators | Three to five, reviewing independently before findings are merged | Pass off one person’s opinion as an audit |
| Severity | A 0–4 scale agreed at kick-off, applied to every finding | Rank issues by how easy they are to screenshot |
| Evidence | Screenshot, recording, analytics or test clip for every ticket | List problems with no evidence |
| Accessibility | WCAG 2.2 AA spot checks, named by success criterion | Call a site “compliant” after a spot check |
| Outcome | A ranked backlog and a readout session | Guarantee a percentage lift |
FIG 10 · Process · 6 steps
Find the friction, rank the fixes
A fixed written quote after a free call, a heuristic review by three to five evaluators, and a backlog your team can start on the next morning. Your data and findings stay yours.
- Step 01
Free call
Tell us what you want to improve and what you have already tried. We ask about traffic, tools, team and deadlines first.
- Step 02
Review
We agree the journeys, platforms and strands in scope, and get read-only access to GA4, Search Console and any recordings or support data you have.
- Step 03
Fixed written quote
A written scope and a fixed quote, with the timeline, tools, access and hand-over agreed before any work starts.
- Step 04
Sprints with weekly demos
Evaluators review independently, then merge and rate findings; analytics, accessibility and speed checks run alongside, with progress shown in a weekly demo.
- Step 05
Launch
A readout session with your team, and the backlog delivered into Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues or a spreadsheet.
- Step 06
Support
An optional build sprint on the top tickets, or questions answered while your team works through the backlog, as agreed in your written scope.

UX audit vs website audit vs SEO audit
Three audits that are often confused. They answer different questions, and you may need more than one.

| Question it answers | Why don’t people finish their tasks? | Is the site healthy, fast, secure and up to date? | Why don’t we rank or get crawled? |
| Looks at | Journeys, usability, accessibility, content, speed | Performance, security, plugins, hosting, broken links | Indexing, technical SEO, content, links |
| Main evidence | Heuristics, analytics, recordings, user tests | Scans, logs and performance tools | Search Console, crawls and rankings |
| Output | Ranked UX backlog | Fix list for the site and hosting | SEO fix list and content plan |
